Sevens
rugby is unique in the rugby world, as it brings together the
best players from around the globe for great tournaments
such as the AIR FRANCE RUGBY SEVENS.
Created
in October 1996, THE AIR FRANCE RUGBY SEVENS has become the
leading sevens event of the northern hemisphere, attracting
more than 40 000 spectators to Paris´s Charléty
Stadium last year. This event has become a vital link in a worldwide
chain of tournaments including those of Dubai, Punta del Este
(Uruguay), Mar del Plata (Argentina), Japan and Hong Kong. The
Tournament is organized under the auspicies of the French Rugby
Federation and the French Barbarian Rugby Club.
